September 4, 2019 / Vincennes University Department of Music presenting Faculty Piano Recital Sept. 10

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Department of Music is presenting a Faculty Recital featuring pianist Sean Cavanaugh, VU Adjunct Professor of Music, on Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. EDT in the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center Theatre.

Cavanaugh will perform Bach’s Partita No. 1 in B-flat Major, Liszt’s Bénédiction de Dieu dans la solitude, and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.

Admission is free and the public is invited. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Cavanaugh is currently completing a Doctor of Music degree in piano performance at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University where he studied with Karen Shaw. He performs frequently as a soloist and chamber musician. He teaches piano at VU and serves as a staff accompanist at DePauw University in Greencastle.
