The Military Education Program serves a variety of student populations requiring
special admission application procedures. They are:
General Active Duty and Active Reserve Students:

Students apply to the MEP when registering for their first course through Vincennes
University, whether it be a Distance Learning or on-site course.
California Military Students:

Students apply to the MEP when registering for their first course through Vincennes
University whether it be a Distance Learning or on-site course.

The Military Education Program in California has not been contracted to provide
basic skills classes and therefore, relies on the military partner to screen students for college
readiness and to perform general educational counseling.

Enrollment for military students is open to any active duty and active reserve
service members. Proof of high school graduation or GED certificate is provided through military
records.

Military students enroll per class. No minimum enrollment is required. There is no
time limit for the military students to complete a degree, though the Military Education Program
does everything possible to help the individual student complete her/his degree in a timely manner.
However, professional demands often prevent students from enrolling in classes every term. A formal
re-admission is not required for these returning students.

Students are eligible for a SOCAD/SOCNAV agreement and degree plans after completion
of the first class with Vincennes University.
Navy College Rating Degree Students:

The student will make application for admission by submitting a completed Vincennes
University Admissions Application.
Include proof on high school or GED completion. (If status is available on official military
documents, high school or GED diploma is not required)

The $20.00 application fee and signature must be included to complete the
application process. Students will be notified of their admissions status within 3 to 4 weeks.
After a student has been admitted to Vincennes University he/she will receive an orientation packet
and be eligible to register for classes.
